Sunday Night

I haven't been waiting all day for Sunday night, no matter how much Carrie Underwood (or P!nk or Faith Hill) warble that godawful song at me.

But.

There is something about Sunday night.

Yes, it's the end of the weekend and I can get where that can make one a bit morose. Sure, many don't want to go back to work in the standard Monday-Friday concept.

There are families making lunches for their kids or themselves.

There's a mental checklist rolling through their brains.

- OK, have to pick the girls up at school tomorrow. They have a dentist's appointment.

- There's a basketball game on Tuesday.

- A parent/teacher meeting on Thursday.

- Dinner with friends on Friday.

I'm mindful of all of that and, to that end, let me say:

Tomorrow, 8:30 a.m.: Record Poughkeepsie Nissan Monday Night Sports with Zolz and Fran in Poughkeepsie. Later, at 4 p.m.: Middle School Basketball Championship in Monroe, CT.

Tuesday, 4 p.m.: "Doubleheader"

Wednesday, 1 p.m.: Podcast recording session. Then, at 4 p.m.: Brunswick basketball vs. Hopkins.

Thursday, 4 p.m.: "Doubleheader"

Friday, 7:50 a.m.: Friday morning sports chat with Tony Savino on WGCH. I'll do "Doubleheader" at 4 p.m.

Saturday, 3:30 p.m.: Brunswick hockey vs. Berkshire.

Oh, there's more but this is the broadcast schedule. We'll see whatever surprises await.

But that's the thing about Sunday night. It's a fresh slate. It's a clean start.

It can also freak you out because Sunday night can have an eerie sense of foreboding for what is coming up.

But, no. Not tonight.

Not this week.

Enjoy the night.

Watch The Grammys and follow along as I make fun of them (over on Twitter).

I spare no one.

Let's make it a good week.
